About this site

Kalispell Island Boat-IN Campground is located on Priest Lake in the Idaho Panhandle National Forests. The campground features 52 sites (51 single sites and one group site) accessible only by boat. All sites are surrounded by clear waters of Priest Lake and offer a rugged camping experience on the peaceful shores. Picnic tables and campfire rings are provided at each site. Most campsites require campers to bring their own portable toilets, though toilet buckets can be checked out at the Kalispell Boat Launch. This is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out facility with no drinking water available. Pets are allowed but must be leashed at all times. The island spans 264 acres and is shaped like a tooth, with the Selkirk Mountains visible to the north. Priest Lake sits at 2,400 feet elevation and is one of the top three largest lakes in Idaho. A popular activity is kayaking or boating 3.5 miles up a thoroughfare to Upper Priest Lake Scenic Area.
