Joshua Tree BLM North is a large, flat expanse of land where you can camp for free and be close to Joshua Tree National Park. Administered by the BLM, there’s not much to it, just a lot of flat land. It gets very windy here, and dust gets everywhere. The ground is pretty solid when its dry, but during heavy rain, it almost turns into a lake bed. You can camp here up to 14 days, though the BLM rarely enforces it here.

Great spot for climbers, dirt bikes, OHV etc. wide open lake bed with plenty of room to spread out. 30min from Joshua Tree NP
