Jones Canyon Campground
About this site
Jones Canyon Campground has 10 campsites along the Lower Deschutes Wild & Scenic River about 19 miles north of Maupin. Campsites 1 and 10 are designated for group camping. Some sites are waterfront and most have water views. Only a few campsites have shade from trees. This BLM campground is first-come, first serve and has potable water (one pump) and vault toilets. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. A put-in / launch for rafts and dirt boats is located about 2.5 miles downstream at Beavertail campground. There is also another put-in 6 miles upstream at the Buckhollow or Pine Tree picnic areas.
