Joe T. Fallini Recreation Site is a BLM campground situated on the western shore of Mackay Reservoir in the Big Lost River Valley, north of Mackay, Idaho. The site features 26 campsites including 4 double sites, 4 walk-in tent sites, and 18 single sites with both back-in and pull-through configurations. It is the only recreational site in the Challis Field Office offering full RV hookups. Amenities include a dump station, restrooms, drinking water, boat ramp, and interpretive trail. The campground offers commanding views of the Lost River Range to the east, including Mt. McCaleb, and the Knob Mountains to the west. Recreational opportunities include boating, jet skiing, water skiing, sailing, ice fishing, wildlife viewing, and star-gazing. Nearby attractions include Borah Peak, Craters of the Moon National Monument, and the historic mining town of Mackay.
