The Joe Skeen Campground offers 10 campsites with sheltered picnic tables and two ADA accessible vault toilets. 8 visitors are allowed per site. Additional Info: Free BLM-developed campground located within El Malpais National Conservation Area on dramatic volcanic terrain. Sites include fire rings and are suitable for both tent and RV camping, with some pull-through sites available for large RVs. No drinking water, electrical hookups, or water/sewer hookups available at the campground. Potable water is available at the nearby BLM Ranger Station. First-come, first-served basis; sites fill quickly on pleasant weekends.
