JAMES CANYON (Campground) Additional Info: James Canyon Campground offers 5 sites along US 82 just west of Mayhill, NM in Lincoln National Forest at an elevation of 6,800 feet. The lower elevation means this small site is usable longer than most Sacramento Mountain area campgrounds when snows begin. Sites accommodate small trailers up to 16 feet and tent camping. Tent sites are located across a footbridge. Picnic tables and grills are available. Restrooms are on-site. Potable water is not available. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system. Pets are not allowed.
