Overview Jacks Gulch Recreation Area is located 48 miles northwest of Fort Collins, in northern Colorado. Visitors enjoy the area for its great hiking, biking and horseback riding opportunities. A nature trail circles the entire area of Jacks Gulch, with one section providing stunning views of the Mummy Range. Natural Features The campground is situated in a ponderosa pine forest, dotted with aspens. Additional Info: Jacks Gulch Campground has 56 campsites including single-family, 10 walk-in tent sites, 5 equestrian sites with horse stalls, and a group site for up to 60 people. Amenities include vault toilets, drinking water, trash collection, picnic tables, campfire rings, and grills at sites. Some sites in Columbine Loop have electric hookups; group site has electric for additional fee. Most single-family sites are first-come, first-served. Maximum vehicle length up to 80 feet on some spurs. Equestrian sites accommodate horse trailers. Firewood available from host or gather dead/down wood.
