J.W. Wells State Park Campground

J.W. Wells State Park is a 700-acre park located along 3 miles of Lake Michigan's Green Bay, 30 miles south of Escanaba in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The modern campground features 150 sites divided into north and south loops, most with views of Lake Michigan. Sites offer 30-amp or 50-amp electrical service. The campground includes modern toilet and shower buildings, vault toilets, and a sanitation station with potable water. Five rustic cabins are available year-round with propane heat, vault toilets, and hand pumps for water. The park offers a designated swim beach, picnic area, accessible playground with sensory panels, and the accessible Cedar River Trail. Recreation opportunities include lakeshore fishing, paddling, hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. The park is open year-round.
