Island Bar Recreation Site is located on the Lower Salmon River east of Riggins, Idaho. It serves as a frequent put-in spot for floating the river via raft, kayak, or jet boat. The site is largely undeveloped with easy access to large sandy beaches along the Salmon River. Additional Info: Free dispersed camping area managed by BLM with vault toilets, trash service, picnic tables, and fire rings at designated sites. Boat access available. Popular for river activities including fishing and rafting.
