Iron Canyon West

Iron Canyon West is a dispersed camping spot in Shasta-Trinity National Forest near Iron Canyon Reservoir. Undeveloped camping is permitted outside of developed campgrounds such as Deadlun and Hawkins Landing. A free campfire permit is required for campfires or open flame devices. Primitive roads suitable for high clearance or 4WD vehicles provide access to numerous camping opportunities around the 500-acre reservoir. Additional Info: Open year round. No potable water or restrooms at undeveloped sites. Vault toilets available at nearby Deadlun Campground. Maximum recommended RV length 24 feet at Deadlun.
