Ingraham Flats
About this site
Ingraham Flats is a high camp on the Ingraham Glacier at 11,100 ft used by mountaineers climbing Mount Rainier. It is accessed by hiking from Camp Muir across the Cowlitz Glacier and through Cathedral Gap. Campsites are located on the glacier; walk with caution to avoid crevasses. No blue bag disposal cans available; pack out to Camp Muir. Additional Info: Alternative high camp to Camp Muir, typically used for summit bids via Ingraham Glacier/Disappointment Cleaver route. Requires glacier travel gear including crampons, ice axe, and ropes.
