Igloo Creek Campground
About this site
Igloo Creek Campground is a 7-site tent-only backcountry campground located at mile 35 on Denali National Park's Park Road. The campground is nestled between Cathedral Mountain and Igloo Mountain, alongside Igloo Creek. Access is by camper bus (short walk of less than 50 yards from the bus stop) or by bike; personal vehicles are not permitted. The area offers excellent day hiking opportunities and views of the surrounding mountains. Amenities include pit-vault toilets and food storage lockers. There is no potable water—bring a filter or purification tablets (Igloo Creek itself flows clear). No fires are permitted; use a camping stove for cooking. No electricity, water hookups, or sewer hookups. Pets are not permitted on camper buses. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 6 am. The campground is open seasonally (May to September) and sites can only be reserved in person up to 48 hours in advance.
