HZ Wash provides free dispersed camping along the Salt River in Tonto National Forest near Roosevelt, Arizona. Plenty of dispersed campsites are available with basic facilities maintained by the US Forest Service. The area offers fishing, non-motorized boating, hiking, and views of mountains, canyons, and wildlife. Vault toilets are present but no potable water; pack in and pack out. Pets and fires allowed per dispersed camping rules.
