Hunt Camp 80A is a primitive camping site located within the Delta National Forest in Sharkey County, Mississippi. The Delta National Forest lies in the Mississippi Alluvial Valley and is surrounded by bayous, rivers, and lakes, featuring relatively flat terrain with majestic Bald Cypress trees and bottomland hardwoods. This campsite is one of 57 primitive sites dispersed throughout the forest. The campsite provides basic amenities including a graveled parking pad, fire ring, lantern post, and picnic table. No water, restrooms, or other services are available on-site, though potable water can be obtained at the Delta Work Center on Forest Service Road 703. The forest is cooperatively managed as the Sunflower Wildlife Management Area through an agreement with the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. Additional Info: Cost is $7 per night. Pets allowed. Fires allowed. No toilets, showers, dump station, electric/water/sewer hookups.
