HOWARD LAKE REMOTE SITE (Camping Area) Additional Info: Howard Lake Campground is located on Kootenai National Forest south of Libby, Montana at an elevation of 4,128 feet. The campground has 10 sites including 3 pull-through sites and one host site, with gravel roads and parking spurs. Amenities include vault toilets and a swimming beach. Two day-use sites with fire rings and picnic tables are located near the beach area. The campground is managed from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The gate closes for the season on December 1st and reopens when access permits. A 16-day stay limit applies to all National Forest System lands. Pets are welcome but must be leashed. Potable water is not available. Daily fee is $10.00 per single site, with 50% discount available with US Golden Age/Access or Interagency Senior/Access Passes.
