Horseshoe Meadow Equestrian Camp

Horseshoe Meadow Equestrian Campground is located at 10,000 feet in Inyo National Forest and serves as a basecamp for horseback riders accessing Cottonwood Lakes, Cottonwood Pass, and Trail Pass trails into the Golden Trout Wilderness, John Muir Wilderness, and Sequoia National Park. It offers 10 first-come, first-served drive-in sites exclusively for equestrian campers (limited to 4 horses per site), each with a paved parking spur, picnic table, fire ring, grill, bear-proof food storage locker, corral, and hitch rail. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets, and trash collection. Firewood is available for purchase from the camp host. There is no cell service. The campground is typically open from early June through mid to late September or October due to high elevation.
