Horseback Campground @ Matthiessen State Park

Equestrian campground for horseback riders and their horses located west of Route 178 between Route 71 and the Dells Area entrance at Matthiessen State Park. The campground features 14 sites with picnic tables and grills. Amenities include restrooms, water hydrants, and a mounting station. Sites are first-come, first-served with on-site registration and payment. The campground is open May 1 (weather permitting) through October 31. Horses and riders have access to nine miles of horseback riding trails. Alcohol is prohibited. Electricity and tie lines are not available; campers must bring their own generators.
