Hope Valley Campground
About this site
Hope Valley Campground is located in its beautiful mesake valley at an elevation of 7,300 feet, surrounded by Jeffrey and lodgepole pines. The West Fork Carson River runs nearby, offering rainbow and cutthroat trout fishing. Numerous trails in the area provide excellent hiking and backpacking opportunities. Generally open mid May through mid September, as weather and conditions allow. Fee info: Overnight Use: Single Site: $32 per night Double Site: $50 per night Extra Vehicle: $6 per night Additional Info: This tent and RV-friendly campground offers 22 single and 6 double-family campsites with picnic tables, campfire rings, grills, food storage lockers, and tent pads. Vault toilets, drinking water, and garbage service are provided. Firewood is available for purchase from the host. Black bears frequent the area; store food in provided lockers. A free California Camp Fire Permit is required for campfires, barbecues, and portable stoves. Dogs must be on leash.
