Holder Mine Hunt Camp is a primitive camping facility located in the Citrus Tract of Withlacoochee State Forest, approximately 15 minutes south of Inverness, Florida. This hunt camp operates within the Citrus Wildlife Management Area and is restricted to licensed hunters who must provide proof of a current hunting license or management stamp. The facility includes primitive sites accommodating tents, trailers, or self-propelled camping vehicles up to 37 feet. Limited amenities include potable water and portable toilets during hunting seasons. Reservations required through Florida State Forests ReserveAmerica up to 11 months in advance. Access via C-581 Pleasant Grove Road and Forest Road Trail 10. Open through March 1, 2026 for eligible hunters. Additional Info: The campground is part of the Holder Mine Recreation Area with 27 sites featuring electric and water hookups, bathhouse with showers, dump station, picnic tables, and fire rings. Hiking trails and hunting available in the surrounding Wildlife Management Area.
