Backcountry campsite in Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest at 5,877 feet elevation. Accessed via the Heliotrope Ridge Trail (2.9 miles, 2,205 ft elevation gain). Serves as the traditional basecamp for climbers attempting to summit Mount Baker. Features running water and multiple camping spots. A Northwest Forest Pass is required. Limited parking available at the trailhead; parking along the roadside is common.
