Hog Island Point State Forest Campground
About this site
Rustic campground situated along the Lake Michigan shoreline in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Features 42 sites for tents and small trailers, many with direct access to the water. A portion of the shoreline is rocky, while the eastern side boasts a sandy beach accessible from the picnic area. Vault toilets and hand-pump well water available. No electrical, water, or sewer hookups. First-come, first-served basis with $20 overnight fees and 15-day maximum stay limit. One camping unit and six people allowed per site. Day-use parking available adjacent to picnic area with tables, fire ring, and charcoal grill. Open year-round but roads and campsites are not plowed; winter access and services are very limited.
