Overview This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature. If this option is available, you will need to first download the free Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service. Additional Info: Henry Lake Campground is located in Gogebic County on the Bessemer Ranger District of Ottawa National Forest, 9 miles southwest of Marenisco. The campground features 7 drive-in sites arranged in a single loop with natural vegetation screening between sites. Each campsite includes an accessible picnic table, fire ring, and parking spur suitable for tents, trailers, and motorhomes. Amenities include a centrally located double vault toilet in the camping loop, a single vault toilet near the boat ramp, and drinking water via a hand pump. Adjacent to the campground are a concrete boat ramp for motorized and non-motorized boats, an accessible trail, and an accessible fishing pier (8 feet wide by 144 feet long) providing access to Henry Lake's bass and bluegill fishery. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Sites are $22 per night during the full-service season (Friday before Memorial Day through October 20). After October 20, reduced services are available until snow conditions reduce access or January 1, whichever comes first. Pets are allowed.
