Henderson Flat Staging Area provides access to the Henderson Flat OHV Trail System within the Crooked River National Grassland. The staging area features a large parking area accommodating vehicles of every size, picnic tables, and restrooms. Camping is permitted at the staging area and dispersed primitive sites are available in the surrounding area. The area is characterized by open juniper vegetation over steep to rolling hills with red rimrock breaks, overlooking the Deschutes Basin with views of the Cascade Range. The OHV trail system offers 18 miles of marked trails covering 1,480 acres, open to Class I and Class III vehicles from April 1 through November 30. No potable water or garbage services are available; visitors should pack out what they pack in. There are no water hookups or RV services on site.
