Hells Bay Chickee
About this site
Hells Bay Chickee is a backcountry boat-in campsite in Everglades National Park, accessible only by canoe or kayak via Hell's Bay Canoe Trail from the main park road or East River from Whitewater Bay. The site features two connected platforms (each 10x12 ft) with a portable vault/composting toilet in the middle, suitable for up to 6 people total (comfortably 4). A backcountry permit and reservation are required. Amenities include canoe/kayak launch, scenic views, and shelter. Alligators may be present; secure food and do not allow scraps in water.
