Backcountry campsite along Hellroaring Creek in Yellowstone National Park, accessed via the Hellroaring Creek Trail from the Hellroaring Trailhead (2K8). The trail involves a moderate 6.2-mile there-and-back hike with a steep 600-foot descent to the Yellowstone River suspension bridge, then up to the creek through sagebrush meadows. Designated sites such as 2H6 and 2H7. Grizzly bears frequent the area; bear canister required. Advance backcountry permit needed for overnight camping. Additional Info: Permit required through Yellowstone Backcountry Office. Limited shade; bring water. Part of Tower Area trails including Buffalo Plateau and Garnet Hill Loop.
