AHRA Fee Area Additional Info: Hecla Junction Campground is managed by Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) as part of the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area (AHRA). It offers 20-23 basic campsites with picnic tables, fire rings/grills, and vault toilets. Reservations are required through CPW. Features an AHRA boat launch/takeout for whitewater boating and fishing, and trailhead for the Arkansas River Trail. No potable water, no showers, no hookups. Pets allowed on leash. Open year-round. No firewood gathering permitted. Pack out trash.
