Headwaters Pack River is a dispersed camping area along Pack River Road (Forest Road 231) in the Idaho Panhandle National Forests. Over 30 first-come, first-served sites line the road with no toilets, no potable water, and no trash service. The 14-day stay limit is enforced. Pack out everything, use existing fire rings, and dig catholes at least 200 feet from the river. Additional Info: Dispersed sites accessible by vehicle off US 95 near Samuels, leading to alpine lakes, granite peaks, and national forest recreation.
