Head Kintla Lake

Head Kintla Lake is a backcountry campground located at the northern end of Kintla Lake in Glacier National Park's North Fork section. The site is accessible by paddling approximately 6.4 miles across Kintla Lake from the main Kintla Lake Campground. Kintla Lake is over 8 miles in length and up to a mile wide, making it the fourth largest lake in the park. The lake is surrounded by towering mountains and is a paddler's paradise with no motorcraft allowed. Fishing for trout is available. Day hikes and extended backcountry trips are accessible from this location, including routes to Logan's Pass and Waterton Lakes National Park.
