Hawthorn Campground offers private, radio-free sites suitable for tents and trailers within Balsam Lake Provincial Park. It is one of seven campgrounds in the park, which features comfort stations with flush toilets, showers, and laundry; vault toilets; electrical and non-electrical sites; and eco walk-in sites. The park provides boating on the Trent-Severn Waterway, a large sandy beach, fishing, canoe/kayak rentals, hiking trails, and a gift shop. Open May 8, 2026 to October 26, 2026. Reservations accepted five months in advance.
