Dispersed camping Additional Info: Hartman Rocks Recreation Area includes over 14,000 acres of public land managed by the Bureau of Land Management. The area features 50 designated dispersed campsites that are first come, first served with no fees. No hookups, potable water, or developed facilities are available. Accessible restrooms are located at The Base Area and at the intersection of BLM Roads 3505 and 3500. One designated ADA campsite is located along BLM Road 3500. Roads and trails south of Powerline Road are closed from March 15 to May 15 for Gunnison Sage-grouse conservation. The area is popular for mountain biking, climbing, and camping across unique rock formations.
