About this site
Travel west from this point anywhere on Hardin Flat road and you’ll find plenty of pull offs/offshoot dirt roads that you can legally camp off of due to this being National Forest land. This is a popular place to stay for a quick night before driving into Yosemite, or if you can’t snag a campsite reservation in the park. Highly recommend! No amenities.

This spot is the best if you’re looking for free camping close to the gates of Yosemite! It’s only about 30-45 minute drive into the valley from here. Tons and tons of sites that you can drive into. Usually pretty crowded but should be space no matter what time you arrive. Warmer weather than the valley and pretty good for almost all seasons pending how much snow there is
