Hammocks Beach State Park Group Campsites
About this site
Group tent camping on Bear Island accessible via seasonal passenger ferry service or by canoe, kayak, or private boat. Three group campsites accommodate up to 12 persons each and are available to affiliated groups only. Campers must carry all provisions from the beach or ferry dock. Water and facilities are available except mid-November through mid-March when winterized. Permits must be obtained from the park office on the mainland. Camping is permitted on numbered sites only; fires are not permitted and all trash must be removed.
