Ham Lake Site 1 is one of four dispersed campsites on Ham Lake in Superior National Forest, accessible only by foot carry-down or boat from the northwest end of the lake. Each site has a fire grate and latrine. The lake is outside the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; no permit required unless entering the wilderness. Pack out garbage. Limit of nine people per site. Additional Info: Ham Lake is 119 acres with 3.8 miles shoreline and maximum depth of 40 feet. Cross River flows into the lake.
