HALF MOON SPUR 1 (Camping Area) Additional Info: Halfmoon Campground is situated along Big Timber Creek in Custer Gallatin National Forest at 6,500 feet elevation. It offers 12 first-come, first-served sites with picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, and potable water (Memorial Day through Labor Day). Access road not suitable for vehicles longer than 32 feet. Pack it in, pack it out. No trash pickup or firewood provided. Open 24 hours; limited access in fall/winter due to snow. Fishing, hiking, and horseback riding nearby.
