Hackberry Lake Trailhead & Campsite is a free dispersed camping area managed by the Bureau of Land Management in the Hackberry Lake OHV Area. Self-contained camping is allowed with no facilities including no restrooms or drinking water. The area features over 55,000 acres of trails for OHVs including motorcycles, dune buggies, and other vehicles, with rolling dunes, cliffs, hill climbs, and a sand dune complex. The main staging area has picnic sites with shade shelters, tables, grills, and trash cans, plus one vault toilet. Pets must be leashed. Quiet hours 10pm-7am. No fireworks or firearms.
