Haakwood State Forest Campground
About this site
Rustic campground with 18 sites for tent and small trailer use, located along the Sturgeon River in Cheboygan County, Michigan. Sites are spacious, wooded, and offer privacy, separated into three small loops. First-come, first-served with no reservations. Amenities include vault toilets, potable water from hand-pump well, fire rings, and picnic tables at each site. Overnight fee $20 plus Recreation Passport required. Maximum 15-day stay. Direct river access for fishing and paddling. Additional Info: - Clean pit toilets and dumpster available. - Boat launch nearby. - Suitable for kayaks, canoes, or rafts on the Sturgeon River.
