Gwynns Falls/Leakin Park features a historic campground dating back to the 1930s, originally used as a Girl Scout camp. The City of Baltimore received $750,000 from the U.S. Department of the Interior and National Park Service for youth campground improvements, including family camping programs, group spaces for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and basic camping skills areas. Work was planned to begin within the next year from the 2023 announcement.
