Guale 1
About this site
Guale 1 is a backcountry campsite located in the southwestern part of Big Bend Ranch State Park. The roomy campsite is sheltered on all four sides by high ridges at the beginning of Guale Mesa, providing protection from strong winds. The drainage near the site is at the upper end of Rancherias Canyon. The site is equipped with a shade shelter, picnic table, and fire ring. Access requires a 4WD high-clearance vehicle via the East Oso Loop, approximately 6.7 miles south from Sauceda. Climb the slopes around the campsite for spectacular views in all directions.
