Primitive backcountry campground located at 8,000 feet on a windswept knoll, 3.1 miles from the Pine Springs trailhead and 1 mile below Guadalupe Peak (Texas's highest summit). Five tent sites with vault toilets but no water or showers. A backcountry permit is required. Nightly fee is $8. Minimal facilities and high winds are typical; makeshift windbreaks and rocks left on tent pads are recommended for wind protection. No RV or glamping accommodations available.
