Green Creek Camping Area is approximately 26 miles northwest of Dubois, Wyoming, and is located roughly 9.4 miles northwest of Union Pass Road which connects to the communities of Cora and Pinedale, Wyoming. Union Pass Road winds through the northern Wind River and eastern Gros Ventres Mountains which are maged by the Shoshone and Bridger-Teton tiol Forests. Highly acclaimed hiking trails, most notably the Continental Divide tiol Scenic Trail, are located within proximity to the campground which accesses the renowned back country areas of the Fitzpatrick Wilderness, and numerous motorized touring routes for people that wish to explore the Wind River's front country. Green Creek Camping Area is popular during fall hunting seasons for dispersed camping, and is near for motorized trail opportunities. Food and bear attractants must be stored in accord with the Shoshone tiol Forest Food Storage Order. The camping area has a capacity of up to 50 people, 7 bear boxes, ample parking, a vault toilet, and visitor information. There is a 16-day stay limit.
