Gray's Peak Group Campground
About this site
Gray's Peak Group Campground is located 45 miles outside San Bernardino at an elevation of 7,132 feet in San Bernardino National Forest. The campground offers one large group site accommodating up to 40 people and 8 vehicles. The site is nestled in a mixed conifer forest with a grassy understory and mature trees providing ample shade, with open meadows also available. Amenities include picnic tables, a barbecue grill, and 1 group fire ring. Vault toilets are provided. No water, electric, water, or sewer hookups are available; bring your own water. Parking spurs are gravel. The campground provides access to hiking and mountain biking trails, including the 3.4-mile Grays Peak Trail leading to Hanna Flat Campground and the 1-mile Butler Park Fire Lookout trail. Reservations can be made up to 12 months in advance through Recreation.gov or by calling (877) 444-6777. Peak season runs from Memorial Day weekend through October 1.
