Gray Lake Recreation Site
About this site
Gray Lake is a very popular site year round. The remains of an old railway trestle add to the scenery. The site has good access for swimming and includes a portage trail for the Sayward Forest Canoe Route. Expect canoeists venturing through the site enroute to their next destination. Please pack out what you pack in. All sites are first come, first served and payment on site is cash only. Additional Info: The main campground on the south end of the lake has 8 campsites, pit toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, and 2 gravel boat launches. A small dock is situated next to the larger boat launch. The water depth is approximately 25 feet with a muddy, weedy, sandy bottom. A swimming platform is anchored further out from shore. The northeast side of the lake features the free Brittany Bay Recreation Site with 2 campsites. Between May and September there is a $15.00 fee per night; the site is free outside this period.
