About this site

Granite Creek Campground offers basic backcountry amenities. The campground features two single sites for camping, making it an intimate and secluded experience. Backcountry campers reach Granite Creek Camp through a 5-mile hike from Sunrise, crossing Skyscraper Pass before descending to the campsite. The National Park Service maintains this hike-in location with basic toilet facilities and three designated sites: two individual spots and one group area, each positioned with natural separation from the others. A creek runs directly below the camping area, providing water access for filtering and a place to rest after the trail. The sites include bear poles for food storage, and campers follow trail signs to locate the backcountry restroom between sites one and two. Part of the Northern Loop Trail in Mount Rainier National Park.
