About this site

The Grand Valley OHV Recreation area is a high desert open space on the northeast side of Grand Junction, Colorado. As part of the Bureau of Land Management program, the area is open to camping, hiking, ATVs and more. Wide roads offer easy access to the foot of the bluffs and there are several pistol and rifle ranges accessible by roadway for users as well. Primitive camping is permitted but is not recommended since the area can be very noisy at times. There is no fee charged for camping or riding but no services are offered, so come prepared.

Not the worst for a single night if you’re in a pinch and want to sleep in your car, but not super pleasant. I wouldn’t pitch a tent here. Lots of broken glass on the ground, people clearly like doing offroad type stunts on the hills
