Governor Thompson State Park has a family campground with 100 sites sized for tent, camper, or RV, located on the north side of the park about a half-mile from the flowage. The east loop has 30 sites with 16 electric and two fully accessible. The north loop has 30 non-electric sites. The south loop has 40 non-electric sites. Vault toilets and water fountains throughout, shower/flush toilet building centrally located. Sanitary dump and fill station on road into campground. Three boat-in campsites on Caldron Falls Flowage south shore, accessible only by boat, with canoe rack, tie-up, picnic table, fire ring, tent area, bear-proof food box, bench, and outdoor toilet; open year-round. Additional Info: Reservable online via Wisconsin DNR. Adjacent to Peshtigo River with boat launches, swimming beach on Woods Lake, fishing piers, picnic shelters, hiking and mountain biking trails.
