Government Mineral Springs Campground
About this site
Government Mineral Springs Campground is a small, historic first-come, first-served site in Gifford Pinchot National Forest with 5 campsites in an old-growth forest setting near Trapper Creek Wilderness. It features vault toilets, fire rings, and picnic tables at each site. Maximum vehicle length is 18 feet. There is no potable water, electricity, hookups, showers, or reliable cell service. A mineral spring (Iron Mike) is nearby but closed. Nearby trails provide access to the wilderness area. Additional Info: Developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1937 on the site of a former 1910 resort hotel.
