Gooseberry Mesa offers dispersed camping atop a mesa in southern Utah's red rock country near Zion National Park. At an elevation of 5,200 feet, views from the mesa rims are spectacular, with massive sandstone sentinels of Zion to the north and colorful desert mesas and water-carved canyons below to the west. The area is popular for mountain biking on slickrock trails and stargazing. Additional Info: Dispersed, free, first-come-first-served camping. BLM-managed public land. High-clearance vehicles recommended for access. Pets allowed. No amenities or services provided.
