Golden Lakes Camp

Golden Lakes Camp is a backcountry campsite in Mount Rainier National Park, accessible via hiking trails such as the Wonderland Trail from Mowich Lake or Paul Peak Trailhead. The area features a cluster of fifteen or more small lakes named for their golden sunset reflections, with some campsites offering good views and easy access to the lakes. Primitive facilities typical of backcountry camping. Permits are required for camping, available from wilderness information centers, ranger stations, and visitor centers. Additional Info: Hiking distance from Mowich Lake Trailhead: approximately 9.4 miles one way with 2500 feet elevation gain. There is an old ranger cabin near one of the lakes.
