Goat Haunt Shelter Additional Info: Goat Haunt Shelters are backcountry shelters in Glacier National Park for overnight backpackers, located at the southern tip of Upper Waterton Lake. Accessible only by boat from Waterton Lakes National Park or by hiking trails such as the Lakeshore Trail (8.5 miles one way from Waterton Village). Requires advance backcountry camping permit and reservation from the National Park Service. Shelters consist of a cement floor with three walls and a roof, large enough for 3-4 person tent or two small tents, with designated cooking and food storage areas.
