Glacier Gorge

Glacier Gorge backcountry campsite in Rocky Mountain National Park. Located 3.8 miles from Glacier Gorge Trailhead, gaining 760 feet elevation, across Glacier Creek from the trail in a heavily forested area. Marked by a wood sign and path with red arrowheads on trees. Single site at over 10,000 feet elevation. Requires wilderness camping permit. No campfires allowed; stoves must have on/off switch. Bear canister required, stored 70 steps from tent. All solid human waste must be packed out using WAG bags. Water from Glacier Creek but must treat/filter/boil. Camp safely away from standing dead trees.
